Everyone loves a bright, healthy smile, but  certain foods, smoking, dental work, or even genetics can get in the way of that. There are a number of products available to make teeth whiter, including toothpaste, strips, mouthwash, trays, and even visits to the dentist’s office.

But do any of these products actually work? 

In order to answer that question, we first need to understand how they work.

Some active ingredients in whitening products actually work on stains at the molecular level, removing them from your teeth completely. Some merely create the temporary illusion of whiter teeth.
